The Bob’s Red Mill p/b Focus Bikes Cyclo-cross Team will have three racers coming to the Kingsport Cyclo-cross Cup o
n January 15th, and, in honor of the final UCI race of the season, you will have a chance to win! The prize, Crank Brothers Eggbeater 3 pedals! You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to win, so click here for the details.
This race weekend is in a new year, so please renew your license at least one week before online registration closes. We can sell annual licenses at the venue, but it would make things easier if you came with that part done. If you have renewed your license and have not received it in the mail by race day, please print your authorization to ride waiver. By doing this you will help move things along on race day.
Online registration will begin 12-16-2010 at 8:oo PM eastern time. Click the BikeReg link to the right to register for both the UCI race and the State Championship. Tell your friends and relatives, we a need a big turnout!
A “just for fun” Mountain Bike class has been added as the last race of the day. So, if you don’t have a CX bike and would like to give CX a whirl, without racing against super fast cross bikes, this is the race for you.
The race schedule and flyer have been posted. Click the flyer button on the menu bar to access.
Jersey winners, please email me your sizes. As Director of Cyclo-cross racing it is my responsiblity to gather the orders. To the best of my knowledge we will be using Hincapie again, but that could change. I’ll notify you of a clothing manufacturer change just in case sizing may be different. TBRA will provide one Jersey per winner. Additional clothing may be ordered but you will have to pay the full price.
Thanks, Dwayne

I’ve created two web albums from last weekend. One taken by me, or with my camera, with podium shots. Another with photo’s taken by my friend David Hayter. Enjoy!
Results for the race, TBRA Cyclo-cross Series, and States are posted at the TBRA website. For some awesome photography go the Bart Nave’s site. He takes professional quality shots and are available for purchase at a reasonable price. I’ll have a link posted to pics I took, which include podiums (sans podium), when I get the web album created.
The cross gods smiled on us with Tabor like conditions this past weekend, it made things difficult but you all pulled through. I want to thank everyone who raced, officiated, and volunteered for the Laatste Ronde and the State Championship weekend. The work started with course setup on Friday and ended on Sunday with take down. The event could not have happened if not for the volunteers. On Friday, 5 of us set up the course in record time 3.5 hours! You don’t know how relieved I was on Saturday morning when I pulled up to see an army off people shoveling snow. Sunday morning, same thing, people everywhere preparing the course for the race. Speacial thanks to Brad Jones and Winged Deer Park for getting behind Cross way back in 2004 and sticking with us for the past six years. I really appreciate all of you who raced. Those were epic condition, making for an epic course. I respect you all for showing your mettle, and showing everyone how hardcore cross racers are. Last but not least, I want to thank Adam Myerson for bring some prestige to the event, racing hard, and for talking me into putting on the UCI race in January 2010. We are looking pretty smart since it was announced that Louisville will have Masters Worlds in 2012-2013 and the 2013 Cyclo-cross World Championships! This is the first time either have been outside of Europe. This really says a lot for those promoters who go the extra mile to insure that they are producing quality events. The cross wave is growing and you guys are riding the wave.
